Algorithms (and optimization) book

Here's an interesting new book on Algorithms. This webpage - http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~vazirani/algorithms.html has the penultimate draft of the book available for download. It's called Algorithms (by S. Dasgupta, C.H. Papadimitriou, and U.V. Vazirani). I put it under this board because the book seems to be be leaning towards optimization. I had a cursory glance and it seems to have interesting examples and applications that are often not found in CS books. It also has a few chapters on optimization. For example, there is a chapter on Linear Programming. So, if you want to get a first cut understanding of linear programming you can directly go to that chapter. The book is also kind of small compared to other algorithms books, so one can use it to quickly revise the concepts Smiley
