Member introductions
Hi All,

Since all of us don't know one another, please take a couple of lines to introduce yourselves to the forum.

About myself: I'm Srinath, faculty member at IIIT-B, heading Open Systems Lab (where much of the Oktave members come from) and acting as a mentor for Oktave. Oktave itself is of course more than just OSL members -- everyone is welcome to this forum.

My research interests: multi-agent systems, information extraction, social network analysis, open-world computing. Our lab home page is on http://osl.iiitb.ac.in/

I am Siddhartha Reddy. I was in the Open Systems Lab in 2005-06. I am now working Ziva Software, at a startup in the area of Mobile Search (we run the Zook mobile search engine).

My primary interests include Information Retrieval and Extraction (with a focus on the World Wide Web), System Architecture, Scalability. I am also interested in Usability & User Experience (though not an expert at it by any means).

Hi

 I am working in CSC(erstwhile Covansys) India and have assignment for a hierarchical database product. Hierarchical databases are typically very useful in health care and banking because of the way the information is maintained/required in these fields.

Hi, I'm Siddharta. I graduated from IIITB in 2002. I now have my own startup (a year old) based out of Chennai where I write project management software and do some web app projects based on Python.

Hi, I'm Mandar. I'm a PhD student working out of the Open Systems Lab. I'm also a member of Oktave.

My interests lie in hyperlink analysis, Web information retrieval, and data engineering in general.
